Reimbursement of Patient-Coaching by INTER Krankenversicherung AG

We are pleased to have found a cooperation partner in INTER Krankenversicherung AG, with whom we can now offer the important area of personal coaching for cancer patients. The service is reimbursed by the private health insurance.

Personal coaching for cancer patients

MANNHEIM/HEIDELBERG: Together with its cooperation partner TherapySelect, INTER is now offering its fully insured customers the opportunity to take advantage of personal coaching. Insured persons diagnosed with cancer receive all the necessary information about their illness and are enabled to plan the next steps together with their treating physician on an equal footing.

"At INTER, we are continuously expanding our health services, which go beyond the pure tariff benefits. We are delighted to have gained another high-quality cooperation partner in TherapySelect," says INTER Board Spokesman Roberto Svenda. "This counseling service is designed to help affected customers better understand and deal with their cancer." 
The location-independent coaching consists of a medical history and a survey of previous diagnostics and examinations. Treatment options are also discussed and explained. 
"Cancer patients often feel overwhelmed by their situation when they are diagnosed or during the course of the disease. They hardly know anything about tumors, have fears and are not up to communicating with doctors and therapists," says Dr. Frank Kischkel, Managing Director of TherapySelect. "There is not always enough time to provide patients with comprehensive information. We close this gap with our coaching service." Informed patients are better able to cope with their illness, enjoy a better quality of life and have a better treatment outcome.
INTER covers the costs of coaching for fully insured customers with cancer. The invoices submitted will be reimbursed in accordance with the relevant tariff.
